Hi, I’m Dabin (rhymes with robin)
I’m a freelance illustrator with a passion for storytelling. I believe powerful stories can be told through weaving writing and illustration together to create multidimensional narratives, while being accessible to a wide variety of audiences.
When I was younger, I was a voracious reader and when I look back at that period, I can see the roles those stories have played on my life. Some of my biggest childhood influences are Roald Dahl and Quentin Blake, Frog and Toad, and Harold and the Purple Crayon.
As I explore my own art, I try to convey playful and meaningful narratives through simple drawings and gestures.
